Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Metric system. Unless you can calculate poppyseeds to the ton in your head. In which case you’ll have no problem understanding the metric system when the rest of us use it.

    Have 13 months.

The first 6 months have 30 days each.
Then the 7th month (we'll call it Midyear for the craic) happens, which will contain just 5 days, and 6 days on leap years.
The last 6 months have 30 days each.

Birthdays re-arranged as necessary (31st of January becomes 1st of February etc). Simples.

And Midyear shall be a complete holiday, time off for everyone!

That wouldn’t be a universal standardisation though. It’d be a rearrangement which nobody but you would adopt, thereby adding (albeit on an insignificant scale) to the overall confusion.

    Also, Dave Gorman...

Yeah, but the Southern Hemisphere would probably want their mid year in January. So it could not be universal.

Stick it in at the end of September-ish time of the year. New Years would then be in start of April-ish time of the year. Suits everyone.

And if they complain about it then feck the southern hemisphere altogether, the northern hemisphere has the greater population, they can put it in place and the southern will have to follow.

Traffic lights is another. Let it be green, yellow, red, yellow, green. And when late or quiet, do Like Italy and have blinking yellow on all directions of the junction.
