First laptop for 10 yr old (from Santy)

Hello,

Wondering if anyone could help me as not really sure. 10 year old looking for a laptop for Christmas and thinking it would be a good idea particularly to get her more familiar with tech and also give an idea of typing, home keys etc. I haven't a clue but her requirements are specific. Santa has about €400 and prob needs to be about 15". Main use/requirements will be;

Keypad that is backlit
Gaming - Roblox is the extent of it at the moment
Youtube
Light homework

Any guidance much appreciated!

look for the lenovo ideapad 3 15 inch with the amd 3150u cpu and buy a 4gb ram upgrade to bring it up to 8gb ram

or any asus with that cpu

best value at the moment

I currently have too brand new Lenovo's in the hallway that will be going on Santa's sleigh.

I bought one of those Lenovos for christmas from currys for 319 but I need a second now and they are out of stock.

don't go for the models with the 3020e cpu - it's a low-power cpu
and the 3150u is preferable to the 3050u model

I'm so sorry to interfere in your thread the goon but I have similar issues. Santa isn't very tech savvy as he brought my lad a chromebook a couple of years ago. Poor child couldn't play Roblox or anything on it so it was a disaster.

Does this need a graphics card? Will Roblox play happily on it? If Santa can get his hands on it. My brain is fit to bursting looking at sites.

best cheap option around currently with the reasonable amd 3150u cpu that easily beats the intel pentium budget segment cpus

add 4gb ddr4 2400mhz sodimm single to bring up to 8gb

Is there a big difference between the 3050e and the 3050u processor?

3050u is a decent bit better

would avoid the e one

and if possible get the 3150u or 3250u ahead of the 3050u

Is the Lenovo a good first laptop for college, was reading the advice re the Huawei and honor magic books being v good, but just wondering if I really need to spend the extra, if it's worth it for a school leaver. Thanks for any advice
