Another great value Blu-ray boxset from Amazon. Spend 25+ for free shipping!

Haven't seen "Sexy Beast' or 'Gangster No. 1' but it's worth it for 'Shallow Grave' and 'Trainspotting' in my mind.

    51skyyjB6WL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
    Buy it @ Play
    Includes:

Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, Sexy Beast and Gangster No. 1

    Trainspotting
The critically acclaimed film from director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) that captured the youth of the mid ‘90s. Hilarious but harrowing, the film charts the disintegration of the friendship between Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewan Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Tommy (Kevin McKidd) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) as they proceed seemingly towards a psychotic, drug-fuelled self-destruction.

    Extras
    • Memories of Trainspotting with Danny Boyle, Andrew Macdonald, John Hodge, Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Kelly Macdonald and Robert Carlyle.
    • Deleted Scenes with commentary
    • The Look of the Film--Then and Now
    • The Sound of the Film--Then and Now
    • The Beginning

Starring Kerry Fox, Christopher Ecclestone and Ewan McGregor, Shallow Grave is a masterpiece of terror riddled with hairpin turns that takes you on a fantastic ride to the lowest depths of human nature.

    Extras
    • “Digging Your Own Grave” BBC Documentary Directed by Kevin Macdonald
    • Commentary with Danny Boyle
    • Danny Boyle on Shallow Grave
    • Ewan McGregor on Shallow Grave

    Sexy Beast
A contented ex-villain is forced into one last spectacular robbery by a psychotic face from his past in this mold-breaking stylish thriller by director Jonathan Glazer. Gary Dove (Ray Winstone) is blissfully retired to a Spanish villa paradise with the wife he adores. His perfect lifestyle is shattered by the arrival of his gangster nemesis Don Logan (Sir Ben Kingsley) intent on persuading him to return to London for a big heist.

    Extras

    • Behind The Scenes Featurette

"Sexy Beast" is an indie classic. Winstone and McShane are great in it, but Kingsley steals the show. Not going to spoil it for you in any way - enjoy!

Gangster Number One was for me,a bit meh. But Sexy Beast was a very good flick. Love Ray Winstone and Sir Ben Kingsley in this. And of course Lovejoy:D

    Cheers as well basquille

Don't suppose anybody has found a decent review of these? From what I hear the Trainspotting transfer isn't the Mae West, but I'd be interested to hear how the rest have fared...

    Still in box unfortunately..

From what I've heard elsewhere, the only poor transfer is 'Trainspotting' - it's the first release and not the much improved special edition released last year.

But I've heard it isn't actually THAT bad. Review: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Trainspotting-Blu-ray/3287/

Gladiator 2 Disc there as well for €9.99

Back up to €37.99 on play.com. It must have been part of the Plays Mega Monday deal. In hindsight it was a pretty good deal, over €20 off.

I've only watched Sexy Beast so far, and that seemed OK... Not exactly mind-blowing quality, but still decent enough...
£11.99 on Amazon at the moment (good old invisible hand!)

Amazon have put this back up to £17.98 now. I was up late last night and checked this on amazon at 02:30 and it was £11.99 so they have only put the price up some time this morning. They probably have somebody who's specific job is to check the price on other sites like play. Once he/she saw the price was gone up on play he put it back up on amazon. :(

Still haven't gotten around to watching more than Sexy Beast, but that played perfectly fine on my PS3....
What are you playing them on? Are the discs recognised at all?

Seems very odd that you'd get 3/4 duds, so there must be something slightly off at your end

I bought this about 6 months ago the last time it was on special and trust me I haven't watched a single film from it.
    FML.
