    folks

I noticed some of the better external drives got f/w and eSATA interfaces, do desktops only have eSATA ports now or how does one connect this to a laptop.?

E-sata is still relatively new and doesn't come standard on many computers. You can get a pci card for desktops or an express card for laptops. They are expensive though.

    yeh

i was thinking, but files are getting so damn big now, usb2 doesnt really cut the mustard anymore.

within the next year prob eSATA on laptops should be more common, on high end ones anyways.
