Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

WTB vintage GT and/or Allsop road frame

In my never-ending quest to find and restore the weird and wonderful, I'm trying to source a 90's triple-triangle GT road frameset and an Allsop road frame (with the flexible beam saddle mounting system).

If anyone has either or both hanging in the shed (or knows someone who does), I'd be very grateful if you could let me know.

56cm minimum seat tube, as I tend to only restore bikes that will fit me!

    Thanks in advance.
    P

No use to you, and apologies for being slightly off topic, but a friend/neighbour of mine had an alsop (maybe still does) and I had a few goes.

Also wanted a zaskar but had to make do with my Haro.

You're not going to believe this...

I finally found an Allsop frame, one of the original ones distributed from the Allsop factory in Waterford(about 100 yards from where I grew up).

It was hanging in a neighbour's garage...about 50 yards from my house!

I have searched the planet for one for a number of years!

I've also sourced a complete 1990s GT road bike after posting a wanted thread on the retrobike UK forums, which, along with some ongoing restorations for friends and a couple that MB has stashed for me, means my winter is more or less sorted!

THAT'S IT! NO MORE BIKES FOR ME!

    Probably......:D

Both beautiful bikes! Had an all soft many years ago but was stolen so love to see them again. Best of luck with the build.

Lovely. I had the mtb zaskar in mind. A friend of mine had a kirk (mtb).
