I’ve a little bin.great yeok for keeping my rubbish together and awful easy tip it in wheelie bin when at home.

If there’s one thing I cannot stand it’s the dirty lazy ignoramuses that throw rubbish along roads out of cars.
The same fcukers are front row in mass I bet.
Animals are actually a cleaner species than mankind. The roads are destroyed with rubbish.
It’s not until you walk along them that you notice it

A good torch that you can atjust the angle to point at the wheel when changing it

A knee pad to kneel on

Bin bags

Battery air pump is great to get you going without changing a tire if it's a dangerous place

A small square of ply is great to stop a Jack sinking

Set of headlight bulbs,

Small sealed pack of wonder wipes to clean your hands
Or disposable gloves

No point for some cars unless you're also packing a:
a) 2-post lift
b) 1/2" drive socket set
c) bumper removal tools
d) radiator removal tools, c/w fresh coolant, hose clips
e) passenger, to hand you the above

A 2 tonne trolley jack - much better than the gammy ones normally supplied with the car, and it takes up little or no space. Does the job in less than half the time of a scissors jack, much safer, and not expensive - €37 in Argos.
Also, I always carry a puncture repair kit, consisting of the 2 special tools and rubber plugs. The kit can be bought from most car accessories shops and will set you back about €10. You can easily fix about 8 punctures for less than the cost of going to a tyre shop and getting it done there. Also useful if you get 2 punctures at the same time and you haven't got a spare spare.

Try to not carry loads of unnecessary kit in my car.

In glove box:
Mobile phone holder, cig lighter USB charger and cable
Spare bulb kit
Torch

Elsewhere in car:
Tissues
Umbrella

In Boot side panels
Couple of high viz vests
Car cleaning products
Cig lighter electric tyre pump
Jump leads
Painters splash blanket in case carrying anything dirty in boot

Also spare tyre and tools to change and warning triangle.

I don't like "mess" in the car.. Dunno how some of ye manage with all the stuff listed

For me the only real essentials are the phone and the charger for it. Don't need all that breakdown kit when I have rescue cover.

Toll tag covers the need for change

Sponge to wash the bugs off the windscreen as the wash fluid is generally useless or makes it worse.
