Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So it turns out that Bisping fought with a glass eye, several times, and nobody noticed.

The UFC, and MMA in general, are a disgrace in terms of fighter safety.

Makes it all the more satisfying that he knocked out Luke Rockhold with one eye though.

When was he on the juice to begin with?

Is it glass, though? It's a cover for his real eye which is still there I think, but badly damaged. It may not be glass.

Someone who can compete at the top level effectively with one eye....tough as nails. That's pretty ridiculous. Would a one-eye fighter be officially allowed to fight?

I get even more squeamish thinking about him putting it in and out with a real eye underneath!

You are all fully aware of the charter and discussion about legal cases not being allowed. Consider yourself banned if you decide to post about it again.

if there is a video of something, and furthermore a person has done an interview apologising for it, doesn't that mean it has happened?

    serious agendas here.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,462 Mod ✭✭✭✭Axwell

Whether it happened or not is not the issue.

The charter is quite clear on the matter - strictly no talk about it. No agenda's just people constantly ignoring the charter and the multiple mod warnings. It cant be made any clearer. Banned for a month because of your previous infractions and ignoring my warning.

    5) Strictly no talk about legal issues or potential court cases
Absolutely no discussion on anything involving legal action, court cases, or ongoing events which may end up in legal proceedings against a fighter. This is a complete no go and off the table regardless of it being mentioned in other media or the press. Speculation or commentary on ongoing/likely legal cases is not allowed across the whole site.

He is on the verge of pushing Jameson off the top Irish Whiskey position in America, a billion of whiskey sold already this year.

He hasn’t sold a billion or anything remotely like that. He won’t be catching Jameson either.
A successful year would be more cases than Caskmates. Which is Jameson’s Proper12 equivalent.

The first caskmates was good. But gone down hill since. Getting getting barrels sent over from Australia only adds cost. Not worth the mark up compared to others at that price.

The local varients might be different but the stuff they're aging withh 8Degrees IPA aged barrels down in Mitchel's town is very good, and they bought the brewery, just so they'd have a supply of IPA to age in the wood specifically for the caskmates series.

Haven’t tried that one. I’ll keep an eye out. They did one with Young Henry’s. A brewery close to me that does very good beer. But end result was very average. Fancy four year old stuff. I’d expect the same from most special editions.
But half the fun is trying them out.

I had thought they were using 8 degrees stuff now as well. And didn't they use Franciscan Well casks at the start?
Where are they sourcing barrels from in Aus?

They do varients for certain markets with local breweries.

The barrels were sent by Jameson to Young Henry’s in Newtown in Sydney. They made a beer to in barrels, so it had a whiskey finish. Then sent the barrels back to finished the caskmates. The beer was available in Sydney only, but I thought the whiskey was available in Ireland.
It’s interesting, but increases cost, for still fairly young whiskey.

Somebody asked about the Stout vrs IPA on the whiskey forum last night. General opinion was that the stout was better.
Still think mark up is relatively high compared to aged pot stills or whatever.
