Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There are two other versions, Sonic and Columns.

Looks interesting, but there are so many Megadrives in different guises, it's tragic that there are so few Snes options out there.
I wonder if they could be hacked to include an SD card?

I like these pocket-sized devices. Cheap and cheerful, they make a nice little introduction to youngsters who missed the golden age of gaming.

Plus you don't mind if a little champ chews the ball top like a pacifier as they're cheap enough to replace. :)

My mate had the Street Fighter II Megadrive thingy. It was deadly. I've heard some of the handhelds have dodgy emulation, maybe someone else can confirm.

They are all prone to dodgy sound, both mono and prone to breaking down.
And the AV output is usually crappy composite.
And the build quality is variable across the various different Gen on a chip devices.
However, they can be cool, the one I have at the mo is an arcade stick, full size, has a large onboard library of games plus an SD slot with undocumented function that actually lets you pop in an SD card with every MD game ever made, zipped and all, and run them on the device, its awesome!

Here it is, the stick may need a little tightening inside, we were playing G&G at the last Beers and the stick seemed a bit unresponsive in one direction.

Here's a link, sold out though..
    Sega Arcade Stick

    Another like, US though

I have a few of the Blaze megadrive handhelds as well as the blaze mini megadrive console that can take standard carts.

They are cool things to have but the emulation is way off on a load of games.

    That stick interests me.

The buttons & stick look like they're generic Seimitsu-clones, but everything is common-ground and wouldn't take much to replace with good Japanese sticks/buttons.
The panel even has 8 holes pre-drilled!

The size is also very strange -- as big as (bigger?) than a 2nd-model Virtua Stick.

The AV just looks so odd. Wonder if those things can have an RGB mod?

My biggest issue would be the lack of any visible way to add a second player. Mega Drive needs 2 players!

If you knew your way around a typical MD/Genesis clone board I'm sure you could hack a second control port.
A way to save the state of the game being played would be a big plus too.

Just got the everdrive cart as I am over in China at the moment, only cost me 35 euro, Can play everything off the real hardware(MD,SMS and 32x as long as you have a 32x) except Virtual Racing.
