Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Match 25:
Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz - Get Low
    VS
Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - Shake That

    Eminem

    Match 26:
    Lady GaGa - Pokerface
    VS
    Elvis Presley "Jailhouse Rock"

Lady Gaga, as Elvis belongs in the 50's/60s poll, re-release or not

    Match 27:
    Audioslave - Like A Stone
    VS
    Stone Sour - Through Glass

Audioslave, should be in contention to win outright

    Match 28:
    Tenacious D - Tribute
Elvis Presley "It's Now or Never"

Tenacious D, see above for reason to vote against Elvis

Audioslave. Another pick of mine. Reminds me of my J1 in 2005 when I listened to this album on repeat. Absolutely brilliant album.

My other vote goes to Tenacious D. Not their best song but still a great band for a laugh

They're good entries. They're just not noughties entries. I mean, maybe technically they are. But they aren't really.

Well, I missed a lot of this.... But in another way, I missed nothing!
    Abysmal :)

    Match 25- Eminem, shake that
Match 27 - both pretty dire, stone sour, through glass, for being slightly less dire.

    Any other to be decided?

My Pearl Jam pick is going out as that's a quality snow patrol song but I'll have to give my vote to Pearl Jam. Remember getting tickets to see them in Dublin in either 2009 or 2010 and hoping it would be a greatest hits tour but then they released the album backspacer which was class (IMHO) and Just Breathe live in the o2 was one of the highlights of the gig for me.

I'll go with Feeder as well as that's s cracking song that I haven't listened to in a long while.

Oh and fat lip too. My kind of music in my teens and would ashamedly admit to still listening to the odd bit of Sum 41 today! I had them on my list of nominations but I don't think they made the final cut

    Match 29:
    Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
    VS
    Iron Maiden - Wildest Dreams

    Vampire Weekend

    Match 30:
Daft Punk - Around the World
    VS
    Feeder - Feeling A Moment

    Daft Punk

    Match 31:
Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band "The Official BBC Children in Need Medley"
    VS
    Sum 41 - Fat Lip

    Sum 41

    Match 32:
    Pearl Jam - Just Breathe
    VS

    Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Thats the unfortunate thing with an open draw, a really good song has to go out, while Peter Kay will probably go through eventually. Pearl Jam for this one

That Daft Punk song was released in 1997

May I suggest replacing it with Digital Love instead? if not already nominated

Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz - Get Low 1-5 Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - Shake That

Vampire Weekend - A-Punk 5-0 Iron Maiden - Wildest Dreams
Daft Punk - Around the World 4-2 Feeder - Feeling A Moment**
Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band "The Official BBC Children in Need Medley" #1 5/12/2009 0-5 Sum 41 - Fat Lip
Pearl Jam - Just Breathe - 2009 2-5 Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

**As pointed out Daft Punk - Around the World was released in 1997 so therefore is disqualified.

    Feeder advances.

I actually nominated that and had checked the date and then left it in my list by accident. I’d suggest just letting feeder go through automatically.

I nominated 'Get Low' but I can't gripe about 'Shake That' advancing, great song.
