Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I Like this bit

Lowers cholesterol: Mustard contains high levels of niacin or vitamin B3. Niacin has properties that help lower one’s cholesterol levels and protects the arteries from atherosclerosis (plaque build-up). It also helps to regulate blood flow and protects the body from hypertension.

So that means having 4 jumbo sausages on 2 slices of Batch bread smothered in Mustard is good for my cholesterol levels

    Hrmmm....
Will you be frying or baking those jumbo sausages?

Even if you're baking them, my non-existent medical degree tells me that 4 jumbo sausages are probably not the best for someone with high cholesterol.

But sure who wants to live a long and boring life?
Burn the candle at both ends I say!

If they are Bratwurst you can BBQ the sausages. In fact you can do that to any sausages that are big enough to not fall through the grill. Did you know you can buy sausages with mustard already in them? ;)

If you get cholesterol from eating sausages, it must be really awesome :)

(By the way if you burn the candle at both ends, how do you get it in the holder? Or do you grab it in the middle? Can you get mustard candles?) :D

PS. Nice to see you Dr.B have you been away? Only I need a poultice for this funny lump. :)

I was in France for 10 days to see my favourite Japanese metal band if that counts?

Probably left it too long at this stage, best to amputate for any chance of survival.

Was over in Cologne for the football match and saw this :pac:

A historical mustard mill turned into a mustard museum. I thought that warranted a mention.

While burning the mustard candles and drinking a mustard cocktail!

    Cassis de Dijon

    1 oz. Cruzan Blackstrap Rum
    ¾ oz. Crème de Cassis
    ½ oz. Lemon Juice
1 Barspoon of Turbinado-Based Simple Syrup
    ½ Barspoon Dijon Mustard

    Wonderful stuff! :)

The "simple syrup" I have is ... simpler than that. I do have those ingredients all in my kitchen though!
