Are tickets released on sale all in pairs? May need a Tuesday night single.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,695 ✭✭✭Chivito550

Got 2 standing for Friday there!!!:D

That's Milan on Monday and then the Tuesday and Friday in Dublin now. I'm happy now. No more!

Was so frustrating. Tickets would appear but then when you'd try to get them nothing would happen. Eventually got there after an hour or so of persistence.

Willie Williams gave an interview two weeks ago.
Said that he already has 3 ideas in the bag for the next tour and that there is sense of liberation from the band in terms of live concepts.

Also said there will be a DVD filmed for release, at the rescheduled Berlin show and that the band don't want anything from the i+E tour to be on it

    Good news all round that

Anyone know what the arena in Belfast is like? I have standing tickets and was told that the standing area is very limited as it is predominately a seated venue...Has anyone attended a gig there?

The standing area is very large there ,its a full size arena .
There is only one tier of seating though .

They look to be offered in pairs. Select them if offered & then when you proceed there is an option to reduce it to one.

I wonder if the Berlin show was not rescheduled than one of the Dublin shows would of been recorded ???

Also does Bono hold off a little vocally in Dublin (specially for that last night here) knowing the Berlin gig is an all or nothing?

Seemed to be the case last time in 2015. Saturday night frustratingly paled in comparison to Friday night.

Friday remains one of the very best U2 shows I've seen to date! They left it all onstage that night! Incredible!!!

    Yep

That Friday was a very special gig! One of the best gigs I've ever gone to. Energy in the crowd was great too

Im Monday and Tuesday (again!) this time around for Dublin. Hoping to see all mini variations and (with any luck) a decent enough vocal effort from PH on the Tuesday night.

Is it only standing tickets that are being released at this point? I'm guessing anyone that can't go with seated tickets is just selling them themselves?

It did ,one of the better songs on the album ,kind of strange that they omitted it before now.

The setlist seems to improve towards the end of their tours in general though.
I remember the 3rd leg of the 360 tour they were playing some great setlists

For example ,this is what they played in Dublin

    Breathe
    No Line On The Horizon
    Get on Your Boots
    Magnificent
Beautiful Day / Here Comes The Sun (snippet)
Mysterious Ways / Mothers Of The Disappeared (snippet)
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / Stand By Me (snippet)
Angel of Harlem / Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (snippet)
    In a Little While
    Unknown Caller
    The Unforgettable Fire
City of Blinding Lights / Rain (snippet)
    Vertigo / Thunderstruck (snippet)
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight / Reverend Black Grape (snippet)
Sunday Bloody Sunday / Rock The Casbah (snippet)
Pride (In the Name of Love)
    MLK
Walk On / You'll Never Walk Alone (snippet)
Where the Streets Have No Name
    One

    encore(s):
    Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
    With or Without You
    Moment Of Surrender

and this is what they played two years later in Michigan

Even Better Than The Real Thing Fish Out of Water Mix
    The Fly
    Mysterious Ways
Until the End of the World
    I Will Follow
    Get on Your Boots
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / The Promised Land (snippet)
    Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
Beautiful Day / Space Oddity (snippet)
    Elevation
Pride (In the Name of Love)
    Miss Sarajevo
    Zooropa
    City of Blinding Lights
    Vertigo / TV Eye (snippet)
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight / Discothèque (snippet) / Psycho Killer (snippet) / Life During Wartime (snippet)
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Scarlet
Walk On / You'll Never Walk Alone (snippet)

    encore(s):
    One
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (snippet) / Where the Streets Have No Name
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
    With or Without You
Moment Of Surrender / Jungleland (snippet)

Would I be right in saying the tickets that are added last minute are usually seated? I think that was the case last time anyway.

Hoping to pick up some still.

Edit - how much were the standing tickets actually?

All have been standing this time, don't see them releasing seats.standing tickets are €81 + fees ,just shy of €89

Their show director, Willie Williams, has said in a magazine interview that they've had to change it up because they want to film the final show in Berlin for DVD release and they don't want the DVD to be the same show as the Live in Paris.

Funny how any commitment to the artistic vision of the show goes out the window when they realise it might threaten DVD sales....:D

    Brilliantly put.

I got slated on here to suggest that the SOI "Song for Someone/Cederwood Road/Carbomb" piece should remain in the previous tour's setlist/design. I know a couple people that weren't as up for this tour as it was a rehash/repeat of that 2015 leg. Now it looks like a really fascinating few nights ahead in Dublin.

Can understand the narrative however, that section should have been the Boy/Unforgettable Fire/Achtung Baby/Zooropa section, as it is now imo

They've been rehearsing Dirty Day so, that will be interesting.

Hope they stick Electric Co. in after I Will Follow for one of the gigs I'm at

Its a perfect venue - Proper arena so they can fit the stage setup in properly (unlike in the 3Arena where you definitely don't get the full show) but small and intimate with just one tier of seating. Saw I+E tour twice there last time around and it was brilliant. I'm going up again for this show, not going to bother with Dublin because the staging is so badly compromised...

Ticketmaster just sent me some poor souls tickets with mine. How could they be so incompetent. It doesn’t give me much faith that I’m not the only one.

They murdered The Fly in Milan last night, even sounded like Edge was miming the falsetto in the chorus.
