Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do you say your username?

    Hi Guys,

I thought it would be fun to start a thread about how we pronounce our usernames as sometimes it doesn’t translate across the net correctly.

Some names like mine for example are pretty straightforward but others are quite weird and wonderful and it can come as a shock to the system when learning you’ve been saying it wrong in your head for so long :pac:

I was thinking we could start with a username and others have to guess how it’s said and the user picks the winner who then nominates the next one.

    Thoughts? :D

It's unclear if you or me (ssss-Keefy) nominates the next one - but since EN is here I think we should go with that?

    You guys :pac:

It’s not a game if you give the answers.

    It should go like:

    - I nominate Rikand

    - You Guys guess how it’s spelled

    - Rikand confirms who got it right if any

    - Person who gets it right nominates someone else

    ;)

Just like in werewolf, I appear when my name is somewhat vaguely mentioned if ever so slightly mispronounced

    Ri-kand

The second quote would be closest, but the k sound starts the second syllable rather than ending the first. I never thought about the pronunciation much until I heard mr.spring say it on the radio and it just sounded right to me.

Who is Mr. Spring? Is stress on first or second syllable?

Yes!!! This is exactly how I've been pronouncing it in my head! Ri.kand.

Did I win??? I've finally won something on forum games haven't I?!?!
