I've got a few notes plus some loose change if that's any use?

I guess it doesn't matter, if you don't travel. I go between the EU/UK/US a fair bit - so I always refer to the type of currency.

    If I have 10 pounds and 10 euro, I say I have 10 pounds and 10 euro.

I never say X euros - but I'm not sure if that's correct.

    Fiver, tenner, twenty and fifty.

Any multiple of 5 higher than €10 but less than or equal to €100 could also be called quid. 20 quid, 45 quid, 80 quid etc.

Anything over €100 is (amount) euro. 140 euro, 300 euro etc.

Most of my dealings with money usually involve the following.

    Some cash, few quid/bob

    Load of coppers/change

Think I have a euro here somewhere

A 10 euro note is singular. I'd say 2 10 euro notes are plural so you have euros. In total you have 20 euro.
