Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Housing estate in limbo with management company gone bust

Looking at a house and the situation seems a bit mad

Holiday village part of a bigger housing estate. The management company is long gone bust but the council are refusing to take ownership over a water treatment built for the various housing estates as irish water refuse to maintain it.

Anyway looked at the house and it's a great house however was told only a cash buyer as the bank will refuse the mortgage over the common area ownership. About 80% are now full time occupied and the other housing estates seem to have no issue although you need to drive through the holiday village to get to the houses.

Was told if I wanted to sell after auction is the only way.

This seems insane, the council are still collecting the house tax and not providing a service. Irish water washing their hands of it and the council refusing to take charge over a reg from irish water
