Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When we bought this house i had the electrician mount a tv for me.

This was the mount he used (excuse the image best i could do)

looks like its 2 parts and that i could just mount a new tv direct to the vesa plate, does that seem likely, its a little bulky and i dont need all the adjustment.

It looks like 2 tv wall units bolted together. I would say your better off getting rid of the swivel one

It's not 2 tv wall units, the large piece connected to the tv is there to attach boxes, cabling etc to, so that it can all be hidden behind the TV.

Look at the size of tv your planning to use.
49-55” TVs will have 300*300 mounting pattern (as in, the 4 bolts would be 300mm horizontally and vertically apart.

If you don’t need any articulation, then a flat to wall mount would be much neater.

I'd just advise getting the TV first, as it seems somewhat random. I picked up a 50" there a couple of weeks ago and it's 200x200.

Though i think if you have a 300x300 then you can usually use any tv 'up to' that size, so OP would be covered anyway?
