just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the interviews for a place of a diploma/degree course are like for mature students, is it a formal or informal interview, suit or no suit, what level of understanding is one expected to have of the course in question or is it mainly about your ability to take part in the course. any and all info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Has to be a suit, wwhen they say informal interview that is more to do with interview style I would imagine. I imagine in relation to the course they would ask you questions such as why you are interested in taking part, why you picked that particular college, what will motivate you to stick with it etc.
