Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi quick question. Do you have to complete your internship in Hospitals associated with your medical degree?

    No, you don't.

You'll get a list of rotations in different parts of the country (all of the Republic of Ireland) in final med and you can select whatever you want (ranking them 1 - 25?) and then you'll get your spot based on your class rank.

It can be nice to check where your friends are going. While interns are (and SHOULD) be supportive of each other, already knowing those in the trenches can make it a lot more bearable.

Just remember that intern posts don't have any degree of prestige associated with them. You won't fare any better in further jobs just because you chose a "harder" specialty or department etc. Just go wherever is easiest. :)
