    This team is 'The Pride of Dublin'

    I was told that Pride is only an emotion word in Irish and cannot use it the context of above wording? Is this right?

    If true...Can you give me other options...The Best of Dublin etc...

    Yes, that is correct. A direct word-for-word translation would not work in this situation. I'd go with either of the suggestions made by Poll Dubh and Badhbh above.
