Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I copied a 100GB file to mine in closer to 30 minutes than 2 hours, and that included checksuming to make sure the capacity was real.

Are you sure your USB port wasn't contended? (I ordered the USB hub and gigabit ethernet adapter bargain too and found some supposedly faster ports on my motherboard were not operating the ethernet full speed, due to other attached peripherals).

Tried 2 USB 3 ports on my PC and one USB 3 port on a laptop. Same results on all. Ports were tested with other USB drives too. All other drives were perfect.
At hat price I was hoping it worked but not worth the waiting.

Recieved that Bayliss & Harding Offer on Shower Gel- was about 4.50e for 3 bottles

Zero scent, foam, nada! First disappointing bargain!

I found the same with the Hand soap. It does the job but not a patch on Radox hand wash.

    And I think I bought 12!

+1 for the hand soap problems. not a bubble on your hand, no scent etc.
ive gone back to the superior aldi own brand hand soaps. 79c and more in a bottle.

I got the Bayliss & Harding hand soap a while back on this thread and it was perfect!

Same here. In fact my sister in law was raving about it so much I got more for her. I don't want a smell off my hands when I wash them. The subtle smell from this is fine.

Same for the shower gel. Smells nice, won't leave a trail when I walk down the street!

Hi, I'm ordering a bargain kids stroller from Amazon Prime but they don't deliver to Ireland. If I use AddressPal is it safe to assume the customs charge will be the same as what Amazon show if they did accept an order to Ireland ?

No. You will be charged both UK VAT and Irish VAT rather than just Irish VAT (as well as an AddressPal fee and a customs fee).

Can someone please tell me what the story is with buying something on a subscribe and save deal

i bought something recently which was on a half price deal.... and got it cheaper again because on subscribe and save

its gone back up to full whack

id be happy to continue with subscribe and save for a couple of deliveries at the original price (might change and get it more frequent), but not sure what price im gonna have to pay

its not worth it at the top price

You'll get an email notification for the next S&S delivery upcoming and can cancel if the price is not to your liking.

so its going to be the current price then and not at what i originally signed up to?

damn, i was going to get a few more at the knock down price before my prime trial ends :(

I've been building up a stockpile of household stuff through S&S in advance of the VAT threshold being reduced to zero. Checked today and paying the same price as last month

That Bayliss & Harding stuff is great. I’ve bought it in Tesco at full price for the hand soap, around €3.50, so the prices here are fantastic. Great bargain.

Your first delivery will be at the price you signed up for. Subsequent ones will be at the going rate (less S&S discount)

How can you check if you signed up for any?

I may well have ticked a discount box without thinking about it at all.

Anyone who took the Amazon 3 months free unlimited offer make sure you're not being charged for it for it - I was charged for April and May. Currently on hold with amazon to attempt to sort this out. Check your billing.

If you can buy and get the code it will work anywhere. Some people have experienced geo locking when attempting to buy things like this though.

Or you can just use Avast or AVG (been a few years but assume they are still free).

Some of the UK computer magazines (ComputerActive or PCPro) have their own shop for software and they say the licences are Europe-wide (check the small print though).

Some good deals on multi-device stuff too and they email a code:

    Norton 360 - 10 devices for 2 years for €27
    BitDefender - 15 devices for 2 years for €30
    Kaspersky - 3 devices for 2 years for €30

The FAQ and other info is under the burger menu on the menu line

Few posts there for knives but I thought they have to be over 18 age verified at the door? Tried to buy these bulky steak knives a couple of months back and it wouldnt ship them to Ireland as there was no system to verify age for non UK residents

I got a safety razor delivered yesterday from Amazon UK, no problem. When I bought it it said age would be verified at the door. The delivery guy barely looked at me handing over the package and no ID checked. Same for set of knives I bought from Amazon.de

Seems a good thing to do to get best value for us, is look for vouchers that have say £5 or £10 off but the original total still being less than around £22.50. That way you get the tax deducted but as well as that the full voucher amount deducted on top of that. Gonna post a beard thing now as an example.

yeah the voucher wasnt there for me but I clicked into the two sellers and it showed up there under the one fulfilled by Amazon.

5.52 is a great bargain for the 8 pieces by the looks of it. Will only use about four of them but my current silicon spatulas are looking pretty weathered, probably from throwing them in the dishwasher which Im guessing you shouldnt do with silcone rubber. But for 5.52 this lot will be going into the dishwasher as well :pac:

Aldi have something remarkably similar for €1.99 each so probably overpriced at £19.99 for eight but undoubtedly a bargain for about £5.50.
