Tralee: 0.9C with Dp -0.3C , RH 91%

Showers of hail, sleet and snow throughout the day ,nothing much sticking on lower ground, got very squally in a huge hail shower early evening gusting to 57.9 kph, thunder too.

Some hail / snow lying, light snow falling

Wind has almost completely died away now, dominant direction W
Precipitation 4.0mm ( may not get too many more readings from the AWS gauge if it freezes what snow is inside it. )

Bar 997.6mb Steady

Could be a treacherous drive to work in the morning with frozen roads and worse coming home in the storm!

Finally!

Started snowing at 4pm, fairly heavy, and lasted about half an hour leaving 3cm.

Now it's 0c and everything frozen, some icicles hanging off bins and gutters - untreated roads sheets of ice. Looks great! A winter wonderland.

Breezy and now cloudless.

Storm was a bit of a non event here near Tralee as reported elsewhere.

During the squall line at around 18.00 yesterday got a gust of 80.5kph with sustained wind speed of 43.5 kph
Big rain total at just over 26mm for 24 hrs up untill midnight
Had a prolonged lull during the evening until early morning when we picked up a few squally hail showers getting a gust of 76.5kph and windy throughout the night but nothing notable.

Windy day today sometimes gusting into the high 60's ( mean speed of 22.7 kph W )
Precipitation 13 mm since midnight
Feeling bitterly cold all day just getting up to 7.3C and currently 5.3C

Bar 991.0mb Rising Rapidly Lowest Bar reading was 970.5mb, 17.30 yesterday

Very interesting few days weatherwise nonetheless, learn something new every day.

Showers overnight left snow lying from about 600 feet, a drop of 200-300 feet from yesterday.

Did reach 6.7C briefly here in a shortlived burst of sunshine , another heavy sleety hail shower has knocked back that temp to 3.8C and falling.

Mostly overcast with varying amounts of cloud cover, very dull in the showers.

Light breeze mainly from a NW'ly direction

Precipitation 4.0mm from numerous wintry showers, but no snow .
