Irish fishing tackle websites

I generally try and buy from my local tackle shops and while they are slightly and in some cases a good bit dearer than online stores it's nice to support them and see stuff in the flesh but obviously they are closed at the moment.
I have also bought from uk online stores like glasgow angling but with customs etc I think this might become less attractive. I've noticed a distinct lack of stock on the few irish websites there are at the moment. Has anyone any experice of custom charges since brexit or know of any EU sites. I think there's a serious opening for a decent irish website atm.

Clonav fly fishing have a good online store. Southside angling aswell.

Yeah I have to say I wouldn't have noticed a lack of choice on Irish websites. I think we have some brilliant ones and in fairness you'd be waiting a day or two for delivery which even pre brexit was better than buying from the UK. God only knows how long it'll take even after everything gets sorted. Anything in particular you were looking for op and someone could link it?

The website can be hit or miss.
If he doesn't have something online it's worth ringing Dan himself. If he doesn't have it he'll usually get it in quick enough. He's a gent to deal with.

Just listening to Joe Duffy by accident and it seems people are really getting stung with customs. The UK sites are going to suffer a huge loss of irish business. Maybe they can live with this easily but I think they will feel it. I hope this is an opportunity for irish sites to fill the hole in the market and meet irish demand in Ireland and maybe tag on some EU customers who are looking elsewhere from the UK sites. I guess it applies to most businesses now.

Over the last few years I found that Irish tackle shops have really upped their game when it comes to online selling. I bought a specialist tench rod in the UK last year, as there was nothing in stock in the Irish shops that ticked all the boxes. That was pretty much the only online purchase of tackle I made that was not from an Irish shop last year, and if I was willing to wait, I know an Irish shop would have ordered it for me. I ordered maggots last year online, superb quality!

Dennett Outdoors are one of the biggest wholesalers in the country and they have huge stock in there warehouse.

Obviously they only deal with the trade, not the public but your local shop can order product and get speedy delivery if not already in stock. Some brands they don't have on their site as they use the manufacturers catalogue.
