Is there an agency, state body or private laboratory around Dublin which can check a sample of motor fuel for contamination?

Independent labs, have used them a few times, very professional. indlab.ie

+1 for indlab, have used them before. Also, John Gough in Waterford - JHG Analytical services - you can post him down a small bottle of fuel and he will test it. Quick turnaround also

Thanks for your advice folks! We have contacted one of those labs and made arrangements to have a sample tested. Admin, please close this thread if desired

No. It could be going legal

Unless it's a petrol station you're suing I doubt very much it will be a manufacturer - 99.5% of the time it's contaminated fuel...

No. It could be going legal

Name no names.. , or locations, but fill us in on what happened, the steps you're taking and the outcome.

I'm sure you could keep it fairly generic.

    Q. Petrol or diesel.
    Q. Big brand name or no name
    Q. Company owned site or dealer owned site.
    Q. Symptoms
    Q. Cost of testing
    Q. Outcome of test.
    Q. What steps you then take
    Q. Attitude of fuel supplier
    Q. Court or no court
    Q. Outcome.

    Not asking for much :D
