    I didn't know about M&S but my local Aldi often had Kerr Pinks when white potatoes were on offer!

    theres no saving most of the white potatoes, even when you boil them first before the slathered fat part, they are muck. They taste poxy and there's not a bit of fluffy edge to be had :rolleyes:

    A bag of any of Maris Pipers, Kerr Pinks, Queens (albeit unlikely at this time of year) and even the solid rooster!

    Yeah we had that one year where a kilo of carrots were available for 9c, I think it was in Lidl. I dont think the IFA liked it very much though

    The baby potatoes are usually good. Hard to get a nice one otherwise though, whatever they have done to them.

    In the case of Aldi and Lidl in the last price war, farmers didn’t get “rode” as those two supermarkets took the hit. Don’t know about the other ones
