Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    97-2 now and nearly cooked

3rd wicket. Can only try limit the NRR damage now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

5 wickets win with 3 overs to spare

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Canada at 88/2 after 13 v jersey in our group at the moment.

PNG putting up a big score v Namibia in the other group.

No game for ireland today, massive game v Oman tomorrow next up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Canada end up on 176/6. PNG make a massive 197/7

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Jersey 94/5 in reply in the 12th over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Handy win for canada over jersey. Oman v HK just starting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Oman just need 103 in their innings to beat Hong Kong

To avoid making the same mistakes as the Irish rugby team we need to make a few changes tomorrow. Wilson is suspect with the armband and the bat. Hope Getkate keeps his spot over Thompson and Tucker in for Wilson. Any one of the top 3 could get the armband.

Hopefully O'Brien scores some runs. If he hits form we will qualify.

146/6 in the end for the Scots.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

PNG needed 11 runs off the last over but managed to lose two wickets in the first 2 balls. The ended up falling four runs short on 142/9

Reminder that the Ireland Oman game at 11:10 is not being televised, pretty major omission from the schedule given the two teams rankings.

    Is it on anywhere legal?

Nope. Oman win toss and put Ireland in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Thompson in for Getkate and Tucker in for Balbirnie. Balbirnie is ill so not playing. If Tucker has a good innings here and Wilson fails again with the bat there surely will be rising pressure to drop Wilson, as opposed to Tucker, when Balbirnie is back fit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Balbirnie massive loss. Huge pressure on openers now.

    17/0 after 2

    Stirling out 34/1 after 4.5

    Kob out 41. Ireland 76/2 9.3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    79/2 at half way mark

Tector and Gareth Delaney at crease. Vital not to give away cheap or silly wickets now

Batting seems a fair bit easier during the daylight on these decks, 170+ Score needed from this position.

Bit optimistic there I would say.

Without seeing the pitch, you'd expect 10 an over from here surely. 175-180 could be par. Oman are no mugs

It probably is asking a bit from two young lads but surely Adair could be promoted to be next in. I feel we will need around 170 to win

    111/2 after 14

Tector out 28. Ireland 119/3 with 5 overs left

22 off penultimate over all to Delaney. 174/3 going into the last.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

9 runs off the last over. Ireland 183/3. Delaney with a superb 89 not out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Hong Kong finish on 116/7 in the other game in the group v UAE

Good score. Definitely defendable. Need bowlers (and Wilson) to do the job now.

    Oman 28/0 after 4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    First wicket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Really good start from our quicks.

Gonna be a very good game. Shame it's not watchable

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Second wicket with four 4s sandwiched between the two wickets

    Oman 47/2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Messy 8th over from Delaney. 13 from it and Oman now 67/2 with Ali 42 not out

    Third wicket but not Ali

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Ali out for 50

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

    G. Delany got Ali. Huge wicket. Absolutely huge. COYBIG

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Great stuff Gareth Delaney two wickets to add to his 89*.

Be great to finish this off as early as possible and improve the NRR

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    78/4 at half way mark

  • Registered Users Posts: 157 ✭✭gavinoontheweb

Good to see young players in both Delanys and Tector putting in big shifts so far, we should see Oman off comfortably here and go into the remaining (relatively easier) games with some confidence.

    Edit Dockrell gets one.
