Thought this might be a fun little game. Take a screenshot of a film off your laptop/computer, post it up here and the rest of us folks can try guess what film it is. Maybe it's already been done, but here goes anyway. Three to start off with. Two easy-ish ones, one slightly more difficult (I think anyway). If you're posting up one, make it somewhat guessable and not just a random shot of a wall or something.

Would it not be a good idea to put the answers in as well under spoiler tags?

It'll save people having to wait and constantly check back before they know the answer

EDIT: Other than that great idea...plus i don't have a clue about any of those 3!!!

That's the joy/pain of it. It will get under your skin. Too easy to check spoilers - I'll post the answers sometime this evening, although I actually expect all 3 to have been answered correctly by then!

Got it instantly. The film is (I don't know the right word) 'coloured' in a very memorable manner for a few of the scenes, a sort of silver, with just a hint of yellow.

Odd tid bit of info, Amélie, nearly all of it filmed in Germany, for tax reasons, as far as I can remember.

    2. Has a modern Skyline, 9-11 would be too easy.. and there's too much going on for it to be something odd like Terry Gilliam's The Fisher King.

    2. Cloverfield
    Any clues for the third?

Clue for #3: It was released within the last 5 years. I'm pretty sure someone will get it once more people are online.

    goddevil,

    Is yours Unthinkable (2010)?

If so, you really should think about renaming your screenshots to something less obvious thank 'unthinkable.jpg'? :D

right.. Sleepless in Seattle then... Should've answered it easily considering that the plot revolved around a radio show...

No, the film is not about a radio. The actor is just simply turning up the radio so he can talk to his wife.

    Magic Eight Ball:

    1. 'Pump Up The Volume'?

    2. Thought it was 'V For Vendetta', but is it 'Das Experiment'? (image name is 'das_experiment_2.jpg')

Pump Up The Volume for the first, man that film had a major impact on my teen years.
