Multiplication(tables) Computer Games?

    Hi all,
    My son is in 6th class, has dyslexia and is struggling to learn his Multiplication and Division tables. We don't do religion so he has a set amount of time every day where he could independently work away.
    Does anyone have any suggestions for any good computer app-type 'games' (he has use of the class-computer) that would get him to practice these tables? ?

    Topmarks have a lovely game called "Hit The Button". Google the name and you'll find it. Very handy and would be suitable for touch screens as well as a regular laptop/computer.

    For children with dyslexia, teaching them skip counting can be better than trying to get them to recite 1x1, 1x2 etc .
    Print out a number of hundred squares . Take the 2 times table - colour in all the “ stops “ , then do the 3 times , in a different colour etc.
    Recite the “ stops” regularly

    Make small flash cards . In their table book identify the “ matching “ sums and write them on the cards - suddenly , you’ve halved the amount of work for them
    , once they understand that 3x2=6 is the same as 2x 3 = 6 Write these on one side . On the other side , do the division ones - so 6 divided by 3 =2 and 6 divided by 2=3 .

    When the cards/100 squares are done , he can revise them at school and test himself as well.
    , so he will be ready for the games - otherwise it can be just random clicking !
    Ask if the school has Number Shark- it’s software that was developed for children with dyslexia. It’s old fashioned but quite good . It might be better to use something like that , rather than clicking around online sites.
