Anyone know the song on the new Guinness ad? (Some kind of new Guinness drink). Saw the ad twice today for the first time.

The new Guinness ad is by a band called The Shins - the song is called new slang. You can find it on the Garden state OST

if it's the one that has the commentators sitting on the theatre stage, spliced with footage from games, then the song is 'everybodys a VIP to somebody' by The Go Team.

*edit* that might be more an RTE sport ad, than GAA though...*edit*

Are u Sure? I just listened to that track but it aint it..Im looking for the song on this ad though..Its the one with all the commentators from all types of sport from rte.

The line in the song..Sounds like

"All things go..." which is repeated...

Not really a song but a sample. Does anybody know what song the Streets sampled for "Has it come to this"..(if it was a sample?) it's a soul sample when the guy sings the song title.

    Cheers

It's 'C'mon C'mon' by the Von Bondies. It is also the theme song to Denis Leary's show 'Rescue Me' that was shown on Sky One.

Oh Christ.. wasn't that Brendan O Connor's "Jesus In The House"?!
    His Wiki wrote:
O'Connor has also had a recording career, topping the Irish Single Charts in 2000 under the guise of Fr. Brian & The Fun Loving Cardinals. His song, a novelty number that played on the popularity of Father Ted, was called "Who's In The House?" and featured lines such as "What's the time? It's time for God". The name "Fun Lovin' Cardinals" is a pun on the band Fun Loving Criminals. The character Fr. Brian has appeared on Don't Feed The Gondolas satirisng many religions, and the popularity of the song led to its release, and subsequent chart position.

Feckin' scarred me for life that did.. thanks for bringing up the painful memories!

PS - and he has the gall to insult the contestants on "You're A Star"!

Machine Head by Bush also has the lyric 'Breathe In, Breathe Out'. It's at the start of the song. Doubt it's the song you're on about though.

I was in Belfast last week in shop and this song came on that sounded really good. It was kind of trashy guitar sounding with some shouting (kind of Arcade Fire-y). I manage to write down some of what I thought were the lyrics so I could google them.

The lyrics included the lines (i think) "dancing in my living room" and "someone i knew". I tried to google it but I seem to get is a song called No Hardcore Dancing In The Living Room by Chiodos. This is NOT the song!

    Can anyone help me out?

Wow, a shop in Belfast plays Love Is All! Amazing Swedish band.. you're right about them being slightly Arcade Fire-ish.

I've my own one now. It's this Christmas song that is heard every year (at Christmas, coincidentally) but nobody I ask knows what it is. It just came to me during the week and I can't recall its lyrics (if any) or anything apart from the weird Medieval riff. It's driving me mad.

I'd love it if you could take a quick listen and help me!

It's got to be the most obscure popular Christmas song ever.

In dulci jubilo aka 'I saw three ships'.

    http://www.curtisclark.org/emusic/midi/jubilo.mid

    In dulci jubilo

    In dulci jubilo,
    Nun singet und seid froh!
    Unsers Herzens Wonne
    Leit in praesepio,
    Und leuchtet als die Sonne
    Matris in gremio,
Alpha es et O, Alpha es et O!

    O Jesu parvule
Nach dir ist mir so weh!
    Tröst mir mein Gemüte
    O puer optime
    Durch alle deine Güte
    O princeps gloriae.
Trahe me post te, Trahe me post te!

    O Patris caritas!
    O Nati lenitas!
    Wir wären all verloren
    Per nostra crimina
    So hat er uns erworben
    Coelorum gaudia
Eia, wären wir da, Eia, wären wir da!

    Ubi sunt gaudia
    Nirgend mehr denn da!
    Da die Engel singen
    Nova cantica,
    Und die Schellen klingen
    In regis curia.
Eia, wären wir da, Eia, wären wir da!
