Metcalf has certainly come out this year. Might be the best all around WR in the league.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

He’s been unplayable nearly all season.

Ramsey put the brakes on him last week, first player to do it this year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,945 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Huge win for the Seahawks. Big performances from Lockett, Hyde, Metcalf and for the first time this season the Seahawks D.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

    Good win.

Stops the slide and evens the tie break with the Cardinals in the division.

I’m considering changing my pick of the saints given the change to the starting QB. The thing is they are playing the falcons which may help.

Amongst the lads in our pools we instigated a TNF kick off deadline for our weekly picks and by extension my picks on here. That being said I still think that the saints shiuld have too much for the Falcons. It's not like Hill is "average". :)

One of the lads who I'm in head to head his week with decided to change his saints pick to the falcons for that reason. I think it was foolhardy.

If anybody can get it out of Winston then Payton will. Look at what he did with Bridgewater.

I still don't get the Hill situation. I mean it is the equivalent to playing Jared Cook at QB. He just isn't a QB. Remember that for all that Payton called him Steve Young he still played Bridgewater ahead of him so that was a lie.

Not sure what the Atlanta run D is like since their pass D gets ripped up so often. I figure they may start off with a few players keying on Kamara/ option until Hill proves he can throw a ball.

Bit harsh considering Hill played QB for years in college and high school.

Hill was a QB in college and has been listed as a QB his entire pro career.
I don't get how you liken it to Jared Cook starting at QB.

Are you mixing up Taysom with Josh Hill?

How many games has Edelman started at QB? Did anyone consider him the starting QB as a possibility even when Brady was out/left? Edelman also played QB but was never looked at as a QB at the pro level for a few reasons.

Taysom is at sub 50% in spite of being only on for gimmicky plays. His college stats were not game breaking and well Atlanta may have bad Nfl corners but I am guessing they were pretty good at college level.

Edelman entered the draft as a wide receiver not as a QB. Hill has always been a QB.
I think you are mixing him up with Josh Hill, he plays tight end for the Saints.
Taysom only plays those gimmick.plays, he doesn't play another position.
I think it'll be great fun to watch him. I can imagine all sorts of stunts.

Taysom is listed as TE and QB eligible. He is great fun to watch and a great athlete. However all he has are the gimmick plays so I am not sure it will help them win. They can still dump off to Kamara who may be able to YAC his way to victory with the help of the defense but this is just a poor man's Tebow.

Where are you finding him listed as a tight end?

Huh. I am wrong about that. My original source was talking about fantasy football which I didn't realise. Apologies. He is just listed as a QB though he has obviously been used as a gadget player.

I had not realised he had suffered 4 season ending injuries in college. Fair play for working through them and still being an athletic powerhouse.

Harbaugh out whinging to the Titan players about something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,945 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

This is the sort of thing that annoys me. TJ Watt took Luton to the ground well after the ball was gone and no flag. I'm certain that if it was Roethlisberger it'd have been flagged and not just him but pretty much every regular starter.
Should have been a roughing the passer penalty.

Don't know what happened to Wentz but he hasn't been the same player since the injury.

You've just answered your own question.

But they're old and creaky all over the field. Rebuild incoming.

It’s nothing to do with his injuries. It’s a mental thing because he’s not trusting what he’s seeing. He gave away the ball for a browns TD and he had a receiver open as a first read and didn’t go to him.

Matt Ryan = Derek Carr. You'd love to think you can go all the way with them but deep down you know they're not quite good enough

Poor Joe Burrow. Hopefully not too bad.

Though the way the injuries have been this year you'd have to think it's bad.

Just seen the joe Burrow injury and you can’t not feel bad for him. Hopefully it looks worse than it is.

Also, Carson wentz is just terrible. He needs to pull his head out of the clouds and learn to not be a hero every play.

    It’s 12-7 browns after a safety.

The Lions need to be burned to the ground. Such a frustrating team. If I'm Matt Stafford I'm getting the **** out of there. Come to Denver Matthew.

As a Lions fan, they’re just a terribly run organization. Some of the draft picks this year have been great (Swift, Jackson, Penisini) but the gameplan is absolute trash. I have no idea what Patricia is trying to do whatsoever.

Oh, and paying Vaitai that’s absolutely insane contract is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. To think they paid him that much and never as much as even approached Conklin, for example. An atrocious player.

Some effort from Brown on that Titans TD

It's been going on so nice he came back from the injury. Maybe seeing the eagles win a Superbowl while he was out affected him.
