    Hello,
I needed to get a booster MMR vaccine and I was charged for this with my GP. I thought that this booster vaccine is offered free of charge and told the receptionist this, she was nonplussed.
Will the HSE refund me the 35 euro I paid to receive the vaccine as the one they provided me with a child was defective ?
I'm not happy having to part with 35 euro for a basic right to be vaccinated.

Why aren't they offered free of charge, is the GP practice in the wrong ?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

The vaccine is free, you’re being charged for administration (the cost of which may not be completely covered by the HSE).
