Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

I'm looking into Aderrig church and graveyard just outside Celbridge.
Using Google earth shows lots of field marks leading to the church,
But also looks like there was a much bigger complex on this site.

Does anyone have any good info about the place?
I'm mostly interested in the oldest information regarding the size and layout.

    Thanks.

However all that can be seen at ground level is what appears to be an artificially raised area. Aerial photos also reveal what might be a field system, possibly related to the enclosure, about 50 meters west of the church ruins. Field systems can take various forms such as ridges and furrows which was (a type of ploughing) or lazy beds (used for growing potatoes).
