Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    20 degrees at 2pm in Galway, Salthill beach and prom is packed lots of people swimming never saw that before. Hope its not our summer :D

    Don't forget the sunscreen folks I fell asleep in the garden for 1 hour and 1/2 and got a good burning and I had a slight tan from my holidays in February.
    You say to yourself it's march and it's ireland but its strong as I found out today

    My daughter came back from school with one arm burnt after sitting by an open window all day - if it had been the other arm would have thought she'd been out driving a truck all day:D

    Max Temp today 20.3c which i believe is the max March temp recorded in Waterford in the last 25 years.

    Currently 10.2c and clear.

    A max of 20.8C here so 4 days in a row above 20C. A slight cooling breeze in the evening but most of the day was calm and very warm again. 9.6C now, some high cloud started to appear by sunset so tomorrow isn't looking as good here

    Y'know, for the past five days the average minimum temp has been lower that the average minimum for January and the average maximum has been higher than the average maximum for July!

    We have been getting colder nights than the average Winter night followed by warmer days than the average Summer day :)

    If anything illustrates the sheer extent of the maritime mehness of our climate - this equinoctial blocking high pressure is it! :cool:

    cloud has cleared in Arklow to give pleasant sunny breaks.
    A good bit cooler than yesterday but 14c now is not to be sniffed at considering whats coming next week.
    Last of the warmish days for the time being,might hit 16 or 17c by mid afternoon if the sunny spells continue :)
