Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Close to real time Covid-19, info country by country. Looking at the numbers skyrocketing is grimly fascinating. The US i think is in for a torrid time. We're doing surprisingly well, but i fear we're going to undo our earlier good work by half arsing the lockdown now.

Probably all Elon Musk, in his unswerving oversight of the blowing up of shareholder equity disguised as starships and his unending quest to funnel the planets entire kerosene supply through his G650s engines in his pursuit of making electric cars to reduce CO2 emissions.

more like folks that are essential, still needing to travel around.

I'm in an industry where we move folks around globally, and we've been looking at private jets to get folks to & from where they need to be, even to/from countries on lockdown.

Recently got hold of full sets of the 1910 & 1915 OS maps of Ireland. FiL's father worked for the OS. I had thought about framing them and selling them at craft markets, but someone said they might be worth more to a collector folded up.

Need to get round to getting some advice. Probably not the best time to go looking for an antiquarian map dealer...

Do not fold them - it will damage them and devalue them.

I used to work in the OSI, during my first summer in college, and I went down to an old store to have a look one day, and then before I knew it it was the end of August and I forgot to go back and pilfer old stuff.

This map created by Teagasc looks at geographic isolation in the context of the new rules on social distancing and travel within 2km.

    614091227332263936

Teagasc calculated how many houses every household in the country has within a 2km radius to highlight those areas of the country where geographic isolation adds to the social isolation rules. Naturally enough these areas are also isolated form a whole range of services.
Your image is socially distancing itself too :D

Apparently some Australians are unhappy with their government's handling of the Covid-19 crisis, which has resulted in a proposal for a new map:
