Philips Airfryer full HD Amazon

Posted just for fun

Was looking on Amazon for an Airfryer when I came across this one:
Philips Avance Collection hd9653/90

Was really pleased to see the full spec:

Unfortunately out of stock at the moment
Was so looking forward to some wedges in full HD

Jokes aside, and having owned both. I would take the Philips over the tefal every day of the week. Too many moving plastic parts in the tefal and really expensive to replace any if they break.

Philips is made of sturdier stuff and easy to keep clean.

You used this one or similiar yeah? We may be looking to buy a new one ourselves, so out of curiosity if it was this one then I may take your word and go for philips

Used the older version of that. It's the spinny paddle that has plastic that breaks. The motor can give trouble also.

We've a philips one for years.. grand yoke..
No moving parts, great for oven chips and the like.
I do a fry in it, straight out of the freezer.. works a treat..

Yah, thats the only thing I'd say bout our one.. its a bit small..
If it ever dies I'll go lookin for the XXL one...

I agree its not just for chips.. there's all sorts of recipes if you google for em.

But I value it really for the convenience of it.. the kids can do my head in around the place so things can get forgotten about.. pots boil over the odd time etc.. but with the airfryer its fire and forget.. just stick it on at the right temp and for the required time.. and then no matter what minor emergency takes place at least the food in the airfryer won't be overdone...

We had the model I linked more than 2 times I'm sure, and within less than 5 years lol. So, it's okay but considering you're saying that philips is running smooth for years without problems means to say it's of better quality I think. The motor is an issue with actifry yes.

I made the mistake of going with the tefal first
Every single part Broke over a two year period
Some of them twice

No comparison
I have two of the philips now . Hardly use oven

Not quite sure at this minute but they do go on sale on Amazon about 3-4 times a year. Maybe check it on camel camel camel for Amazon.co.uk

It depends.

If you're cooking for one or two, it'll be fine but any more and you'd need the larger version. I bought the above model 5 years ago for £50 in a Black Friday deal and it's still going strong, but I bought the larger digital model https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BS97UUA/ref=psdc_3147531_t2_B0042EU3A2 in Nov 18 for £117, again on a Black Friday deal. It's a better all round machine, larger and easier to clean but it's currently £200.

If you can wait, the price will drop, certainly around the Amazon sale in November

used both also but own the the airfryer (small one) for over 4 years now It's ideal for 2 people
