Self-employed, allowed back to work but insufficient business

For someone whose work sector was allowed back to work today, what happens to their weekly €350 PUP if they are not in a position to return?

This is due to their customer base having been decimated (on-demand service, no contracts) and they will not having enough income to be sustainable.

Can they still claim the PUP while on a reduced income or will they have to pay it back?

The PUP was never related to whether or not your work sector was open to business. It was about trading income. If your income is still decimated then you can still claim it. See below.

Should continue for now. Big question is what supports will remain after 8th June when the 12 weeks expires. Government have indicated that the wage subsidy scheme will continue for employees, but for self-employed it is less certain.

Payments are not endin on June 8th .
