Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    He used to post about them a fair bit from my memory of first poking my head in the watches forum but he's not involved with them.

    Vostok = McManus Watches = Mr.Rolex = The_guvnor

    I am sure there are others. He pops up, acts like a normal human being for a while and then the mask slips and the ranting start and he gets banned...except on adverts, somehow he is still allowed on there.

    If anyone has any issues with him on adverts then just report it or PM me on here and I will look into it.

    I don't think he's is associated with Vostok, it was just his user name, unless I'm mistaken.

    Imagine telling people you're wearing a "McManus"

    Could have at least came up with a decent name.

    All sniggering aside, it isn't a bad looking piece, with a decent movement that could easily have branding removed.

    In terms of a watch, as opposed to bragging rights...

    You're right, but knowing the history and person behind it, I couldn't bring myself to wear it. Even if I got it free.

    In reference to the other thread "what your watch says about you". I wonder what a McManus wearer thinks his watch says about him :D

    OK folks, I'm closing this thread as it has gone way beyond the remit of this forum. I have been dubious about it for a while TBH. Regardless of the subject of the threads behaviour it got a bit too "LOLs" and jeering for me and now it seems the Gardai are involved on an entirely different matter, so best it ends here. Thanks.

    Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
