i could acept that there was breach, say if "Sara" [user : Sareo3](this was who wrote me) was legit user, but her account was accessed and all scam send on he behalf.
But this would be on "Sara's" soul, not boards. Same can happen again if your account password is "Pa$$w0rd"

I'm in the west, whenever I use Apple TV or similar on a different phone or log into another email (associated with another phone /i.d etc) I or the other persons phone (the missus in my case) get a text saying a device is trying to access my account from Dublin, I know its me & I know I'm not in Dublin, so I can only assume the Dublin part is where my internet is actually coming from? even though I use a local provider (wireless / line of sight) if that makes sense.

Was getting same error myself and still getting on FF in normal browsing mode. Way it worked for me(on Win PC):
1. Open browser in private mode, go to boards page as guest.
2. Pick any thread, hit reply.
3. Sign in now.
4. Navigate to your forums from here.

Jup, came here to see if other people posted about that and seems like im not the only one who received that spammy stuff. thank god i had a unique password on boards and a unique username i dont use anywhere else.

Got this message this morning.

Also got a message from Microsoft last night that my email was signed into in the Philippines.

Additionally, that my iMessage was signed into even though I haven't used an apple phone in 3 years.

Seems too much of a coincidence to me

Not weird at all. boards is actively deleting all the PM's and the bot accounts that e sending them, but the email gets sent out automatically as soon as the PM is sent and there's nothing they can do about that.

It's an IM, nothing to do with your password, nothing hacked, just spam.

To re-iterate: there has been no known data breach on Boards.

This spam is as a result of bot accounts signing up and sending spam PMs. Your personal data has not been breached.

There has been another wave overnight but again, the lads in HQ are doing a trojan job in cleaning up all this mess.
