    when u talk IN a language, like say i want 2 have a conversation IN irish, is that comhrá I ngaeilge? AS ghaeilge is, say, sumthing translated FROM irish, right?:dunno:

    comhrá as Gaeilge is what I've heard most.

    for translated from you'd say aistrithe ón nGeailge (Munster) or aistrithe ón Ghaeilge


    Plean maith ná nathanna cainte mar seo a chur isteach in inneal cuardaigh féach cén saghas torthaí a fhaigheann tú ach ní mór duit cuimhneamh nach bhfil gramadach iontach ag gach aon duine a chruthaíonn leathnaigh idirlíne ach an oiread!

    A good idea is to put expressions like this through a search engine to see what sort of results you get but don't forget that everybody who writes webpages dosen't necessarily have perfect grammar!

    Well, when I'm not sure I've spelled a French word correctly, i search for it in google to see if it's being used on other pages - if there are many other instances of it, it's unlikely to be incorrect. There aren't as many Irish websites but it's worth trying all the same imo.

    spelling is different though, its either right or wrong. grammer is often, but not always, especially in sumthing as small as a prepositional phrase. i thought they both existed but in different cases. o, and pls 4give my unnecissarily long and drawn out explanation, i guess its sumwut a bad habit:o
