Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Odd sighting near Muckross house park in Killarney

Was in a grove near Muckross house in Killarney last Thursday, in the rain.
Happened to look at one of the trees, and on it, were some odd looking 'lumps' that felt kind of like jelly. Might've been about .5 CM across, roughly cube shaped.

These lumps were being visited by some small wasps - definitely wasps, yellow horizontal stripes, but much smaller than the normal 'yellowjackets' you get in the house and yard once in awhile.

The wasps seemed to be feeding on the 'lumps.' Could the lumps have been some kind of tree fungus? And, any ideas as to what sort of wasps these were?

Thanks (probably should've put this in the gardening forum but it had insects in it.)
