Ahhh, that explains the massive number of spotters that were all over the area at just before 0800 this morning, I was heading for an Aircoach connection, and surprised at the number in the layby close to the 28 threshold, with ladders etc to try and get an undisturbed view of the departure.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

I am conscious of the non chat on the photo gallery thread, so can I ask a question here?

    Smurfjed, You poster the following:

Fabulous paint job, where was it taken? Seems too sandy for Dublin, am I right?

There is a photo discussion thread, but it usually gets so far down the list that no one ever finds it :)

First time visitor to this thread, but have a question.

When the Aer Lingus planes were getting their new livery, where is it actually done?

Is it in Dublin or do the planes have to fly somewhere to a specialist airplane painter!

There are specialist painters in Dublin, however they don't always use those. The BA 747 Retro livery shown this week was painted in Dublin

Most will be done in Shannon and some in Dublin.

The registrations are N282Q and N912GG if that helps. GF Management Company is the name I have seen but that probably doesn't shed much light.

SNIP, no need to quote that large image

It was by chance really, I've no particular inside knowledge.

Some stupid behaviour from spotters visiting Reus... I'd assume these guys don't try the same stunt at DUB.
