Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gotta be Chernobyl for me. Craig Mazin is a great screenwriter, I thought it was exceptional. Only 5 episodes long but quality over quantity.

I liked Hinterland - a detective series set in west Wales.
I don't usually go for the overly-grim Nordic style shows but this was well done.

    Dark, great complicated sci fi

Chernobyl was great too though, but too short

Probably Dark, a German time travel series on Netflix. Don't.let time travel put you off - it's extremely intelligent and needs a lot of concentration.

The Expanse. One of the best sci fi in a long time. Hasn't been steered towards stupid woke politics.

Hinterland was excellent, as was Dark (in many ways, I preferred Dark to Stranger Things).

Can't wait for season 2, for those who havent watched it the premise is imagine if superheros where the baddies and they killed innocent people and the goodies are normal people with no powers. And to make it more interesting what if these superheros got away with all these bad things thanks to powerful people controlling what appears on TV and social media

    Dark

Not sure if before or after 2015, but The Good Place and Rich and Morty.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Deutschland 83 was brilliant.

Loving Dark too but the dialogue is a bit weird. People don't like that.

House of Cards. Possibly the best series that's been produced in my lifetime.

Derry girls was rubbish. Maybe I was expecting too much, it didn't live up to the hype.

House of cards started in 2013.

Well, I did not know that. Fine, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or whatever.

I would say either the German sci-fi drama Dark, or sci-fi The Expanse.

Dark is a real gem though. I left it over a year between S1 and S2 and even after watching a 40 minute recap on YouTube my brain was melted trying to connect the dots in S2.

I've heard good things about Ozark (Netflix) too - on my list.

Don't own a TV so do not get exposed to much.

But "Norsemen" for me showed me that a good mix of intellectual - base - but also dark - comedy still lives. It's like Monty Python and Ricky Gervais got together and said "How can we take the piss out of Vikings - game of thrones - and woke people all at the same time?"

    Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Rightly earned all the anime awards last year. Just sublime, and ufotable have created the most visually stunning anime I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. There are moments where I was near tears from the animation style. Fantastic story too. If you've never watched an anime, or you have previously and didn't get the feel, I recommend this one (preferably in Japanese with English subs, don't know what the English voices are like, but 99.9% of the time they're terrible).

Thought House of Cards started promisingly, but got broader and dumber as it went on.

I've only seen bits and pieces of Derry Girls. It's alright I guess, nothing I'd rate terribly highly tbh.

You should really give Succession a go. I've near evangelical levels of enthusiasm for how good a show it is.

Derry Girls was fairly lame, the odd bit was ok.
