    Hi there,

    Hi there,

    I am applying to study Graduate Entry Medicine at UCD this year and I was wondering what are the options for loans from BOI? I am of EU nationality and have been living in London since 2009. I have been trying to find information online but it proves rather difficult, is there any direct contact number or email I could use to potentially arrange a meeting. What are the requirements for one to qualify for such loan?

    The OP is asking about a specialised loan offered over 4 years studying Graduate Entry Medicine in UL, UCC, UCD or RCSI; not one of the options on that link.
    OP I suggest you call the UCD branch of BOI (or the dept of medicine) to get details of who to speak to. I was in RCSI and we had a different bank.

    @Mandarina7771, if you've been awarded a place in the four year graduate medical programme you can contact our UCD branch on 003531 2696677, Monday to Friday, and an advisor will be happy to help.

    With the Graduate Entry Medical Loan you can borrow up to €15,000(plus interest) per annum for max of four years at a discounted rate of 6.3% (6.5%APR). Each year, the draw down amount is subject to approval.

    Hi, if you apply for the graduate entry medicine BOI (UCD) loan and agree to pay back over 10 years (10 years post graduation), is there penalty for paying back sooner than 10 years ? ie for the borrower to reduce the total amount of interest that would be paid on that APR loan ???

    If you contact an adviser in your local branch, they can go through this with you in detail. Any early repayments would need to be assessed at the time but as the loan is drawn down in tranches, this may not be applicable.

    Are there cases where a guarantor is not required? I am in my 30s and have no living relatives in Ireland.
