Ah but I've yet to have a drink. Maybe later in the evening although a sangria or two is plenty for me as I'm up around sunrise to enjoy the peace and quiet. I keep to myself as well on holiday.

Sun is making a reappearance now, albeit a bit hazy. I could describe it as sunny but it's cloudy overhead. Mild at 20c. Wind from the East at about 8kmph.

hi, i am a long time observer on this forum and i was outside my house 20 minutes ago which is in the rural west of ireland.

approx 10pm i could hear a distant rumble bass sound in the sky that lasted about 5 minutes, which i doubt was man made.
for the world it sounded like an army was approaching from the distance or a tsunami was coming
i googled it and google suggests it may be a skyquake???
any idea people?

Yeah either a skyquake or an aeroplane flying overhead. Hard to know these days. Going by your description, probably a skyquake.

Using Beaufort wind scale I've estimated at between fresh to moderate gale all day.

Even though averaging around 10-11 degrees it has felt much colder as well.

Crazy wind most of the day yesterday in West Kerry, along with squalls of rain throughout the evening. Was oddly warm yesterday afternoon and very windy.
Wind blowing strongly this morning. No rain since sunrise but it looks like we'll get rain again today. Met.ie completely wrong the last few days with their forecast.
