Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I'm looking for a few Jaguar XJC parts. Specifically I'm looking for side glass for both sides, possibly a roof panel (want to get rid of a Webasto sunroof) and then more general stuff like lights, door locks etc etc.
Roof panel would be similar to the 4 door SWB Jag if anyone has one of those scrapped.

I need to go through a load of boxes to see what's missing from this project so I don't know everything I need yet so because of this I might consider a full car (rolling shell - I don't want any engine or gearbox parts) if it was cheap enough ( although I really don't need another car lying around:rolleyes:).

PM me & let me know what you have that might be suitable.

I have a pair of XJ front wings in reasonable condition if interested. Not sure if they are Series 1, 2 or 3. I have a feeling at least one is for the series 1 which I don't think can be got easily any longer.

Thanks for the reply - how much do you want for them and where are you located. Any chance of pics if I PM you my email?

Picked up a complete XJC yesterday. STill need a roof panel as this XJC is a bit too complete to chop up the body.

    Hello all

Im in the process of preparing to fit a steering rack to my scimitar however when i ordered new track rod ends the ones that arrived were not the correct size. The threads were very different.

It turns out that some guy who was rebuilding these rack some years ago used Rods from ford cars from 72-80.

So i can get them but they are €20 and as times are tough ;) id like to try them before i buy but they have to be ordered before I can try them so will have to buy them - Would anyone near cork city have a used one or a new one that I could check if they fit my rack? would only take a minute to check.

HI, looking for a pair of 7 inch headlights to take halogen bulbs h4 type, i can get replacment lamps in motor factors , but i am looking for the curved type rather than flat glass, anyone know of where i might get a pair. they were used in minis etc in the 70s.thanks in advance.

I could be wrong but i've a feeling the're the same as a mark 2 Golf with a small bit of modification.

well, cheap to me is something in the hundreds as opposed to the thousands

ideally i want to find a perfect shell for feck all......sadly,carlsberg don't do classics.........

no,really,i don't want too a good a car(to break up a good example of the car,as they are hard to find)

i would like a car without engine or gearbox,if possible, that needs work, non runner, half started project

therefore the cost should be down from a complete and assembled car and up from a gap-blocker in the ditch

i will look and consider ALL cars from good to bad and even ugly

so far i have seen a complete irish car not restored, running but needs to be done for 2 grand and another running car that has had some work done to it for 2 grand also,a perfect car that went for 3500 euros and a rusted in 2 yoke that was crushed for 100 euros

there are the markers, but as i said i will look and considerr any

    thank you

I realise that this thread will probably get moved .I find that the new thread for sales, wants etc can get a bid crowded and ads get lost(sorry mod;)) so here I goes AGAIN, as I've sold my R17.

Wanted ,Renault Fuego----anything considered.(cash waiting--mightnt be if it takes too long).

    Cheers:)

    John

ps---Would it make sence seperating the For Sales from the Wanted

There's less than 3 posts per day in here, johnf2020. Switch to 40 posts per page and you can look at two weeks of posts on one page. Hardly crowded ;)

I'd like to keep for sale / wanted / swap in one sticky. This forum used to have way too many stickies.

They're not easy to find, and the ones that are around seem to be pretty strong moneywise: There's a right hooker for sale in Germany (linky) for nearly 5k !!!! and it still doesn;t look very clean either...

There's a lhd for restoration, and owner is still looking for 2k, mind you, 1979 means no vrt or tax...

They are very hard to find, don't I know it!
I have found one in the UK for small money which needs a full resto but, parts are a disaster and I can't find sills anywhere.
Does anyone know if you can have a set of sills made?

    Schiebedach=sunroof

The manual was a rare factory option in RHD.
He seems to have a shed full of type 43's. I'll send him a message in English when I get home and see what happens.

Body needs work could mean anything from a little touching up to a pile of welding and a respray! It looks as if its been sitting there for a long time and it is a little rough so the price is a little strong imo!
