Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Anyone?

At my stage in the game, shelling out for endless yards of these actually sounds like a better plan that constantly hanging off the ladder.

But, " Hedgehog ", the makers, obviously warn us of cheap knock offs from you know where.

The prices though, once ye move on from Amazon.uk, get pretty pumped! Dozen quid, on Amazon. A score or more over here! Decisions, decisions! Or, what about the German stuff on the bay?

Wondering if anyone out there's had long / enough experience around these things to have formed a solid opinion, please? It's something I'd like to get right from the get go.

    Thanks :)

I've never been totally convinced about those gutter brushes- I understand they'll stop large leaves lodging in the gutter but what about smaller leaves, silt and most importantly moss? Will the brush not just act as a trap for all that stuff and retain it in the gutter. I know nobody likes the job of cleaning the gutters but I see it as a guaranteed way to ensure I inspect the roof and spot any potential issues on a yearly basis at least!

get your self a good ladder stand off and you will clean gutters really easy because you are out away from them and can look into them properly
    like this. https://www.goodwins.ie/products/Universal-V-Type-Ladder-Standoff.html
you can get them with a shelf too which would be very handy for painting

I cant see them brushes doing anything except make the problem worse

Fair comment, Jack. But, that's half the point Hedgehog make; That theirs are of such density that they Will stop practically anything. And, me having a tin roof? There's no moss to speak of and nothing really to inspect.

I Hate gutters  Horrible bloody things. I swear mine'll be the death of me. Blocking up. Over flowing. Falling down. Hate 'em. But, worst of all is hanging off that ladder ~ usually in the pissing rain, of course! Trying to uck half a ton of foliage out, as yet more's streaming down the roof before ye very eyes.

PT; Got myself a stand off! :D Got a right bloody beauty too, after talking about them on here. One of the lads pointed me to a belter. 'V' in it, for corners!

So, guess what? Before I'd even ever put it on my ladder, I took it out to a mates farm, to help get him some starling boxes up. And, with that, flumonia struck and I haven't seen my mate, or ladder, in ages!

You're right though. Of course that'll make life better ~ when I get it back. But, if these brushes truly are the fit it and forget it solution the makers claim? Be peachy! :)
