Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Are you talking about the last race? Horse was practically pulled up. No one in their right mind could blame him for that. Give the betting a rest Rog if you think Moore was poor there. The games not for you.

    I'm still a bit peeved off they didn't run Sangarius in the handier race on Friday. Will leave him off against Elarqam but still hopeful my opinion that he is a group 1 horse in waiting. So hoping he can get the job done.

    Yep has alright. Stoutes horses aren't running great either apart from 1 maiden winner.

    Very dissapointing alright. Was a bit keen early and travelled nicely into it. But couldn't go with them. I'd be hopeful he'd come on from that. But still very dissapointing

    Have backed Love in the 1000 guineas anyway. Mainly as I didn't like anything else in the race and think she is most likely to stay and run her race. She may just find a couple too good but I shall see.

    Maybe its Quadrilateral that will be the star of the season when we were all looking at Pinatubo. Her FTW and Les Hogues to sneak a place with hotshot young Fallon onboard.

    The racing at Newmarket is reminding me of watching the Bags dogs in my college days. Sleep in, don't bother with college and head to the bookies to watch the Bags Dogs from Hove and other such tracks.
    Quickest dog out grabs the rail and wins seemed to be the order of the time, Newmarket seems exactly like that today. Be interesting in the Guineas what they do.
    Could there be a pace burn up with all the jockeys realising the massive bias to being prominent or will it just be a case of the Johnston horse getting away from them.

    3:35 1000 Guineas Hard to find anything of interest here, so going with former decent french horse Les Hogues . Her form has worked out and god this looks a weak race, apart from maybe Millisle who is too short.

    I have no allegiance to her at all so not trying to make excuses simply commenting how a 3rd place finish in a classic having travelled keen early is a pretty decent run rather than a flop.

    I'd be wary enough about writing horses off on the back of 1 poor run this season. It has been a strange one and hardly ideal for some horses being primed for a May Guineas to have it run a month later. Time will tell.

    She is a strange one. There was far too much hype about her after her win by a head in the Fillies Mile as a 2yo. She's a powerfully built and eye popping chestnut filly who maybe grabs the ground rather than lengthening out like the winner did. She would like a bit more cut in it. Although she'll stay I think it's a case of her having been more physically forward than most as a 2yo which will make it hard for her to improve on her 2yo form. She reminds me of one of Frankel's first star 2yos Fair Eva who was another stunning looking filly trained by Roger Charlton as well. One look at her powerful physique and gorgeous looks as she took the Princess Margaret at Royal Ascot was enough to have people raving about her being a superstar. She wasn't able to go forward from her juvenile win at Ascot and she was placed in a G3 and G2 before finishing 5th in the Guineas. Everyone just expected too much of her and her trainer always gave the impression that he thought the world of her.

    Fair points. I wasn't specifically speaking about Quadrilateral as such. Just in general for this year. Pinatubo as well he hadnt much excuses but I wouldn't be surprised if he took a step forward from that run yesterday. I think Quadrilateral will do well to reverse the form with Love but not much went right for her in the race and she could very well improve from a step up to a mile and a quarter +

    Backed 4 horses over the whole weekend there. Just spent a bit of time on the Naas card and I fancy half the card at the current prices. This will not end well.

    He was one that made my long shortlist alright. I'm guessing it is an assption that Aidans usually need the run for the most part. But he beat the fav all ends up in Ascot when he was trained by Richard Fahey.
    I thought Celtic Beauty was slightly more interesting at the price in that race. I'd have her half her current price tbh.

    I'll probably back her and have a saver on Southern Hills

    Others better treated at the weights. Aidan's other one has Seamie who likely had the choice and it has first time blinkers so more likely to be game ready in theory.
    I'd also say there's a slight question mark regarding ground.
    I'd give wheels on fire an ew squeak at the prices.

    Quadrilateral didn't lose much in defeat, she's still well in the mix for any fillies race. The winner gained hugely, in a different league.
