Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Disconnecting Aritech CS350 Alarm

    Anyone disconnected one of these?

    I am getting new doors and windows fitted and need to disconnect the alarm. I know you can go into the alarm and forget zones to remove sensors but think it would be easier to just kill the system. We will likely get a new alarm fitted when the doors and windows are in anyway. Is it is as simple as killing the main control panel at the spur and then disconnecting the battery?

    Yes, if you disconnect battery and fuse for mains that will power the system down.
    Outside bell will ring till timed out or battery dies depending on type installed.

    Cheers for the input altor. With the outside bell, have you any idea roughly how long it would ring for. Are we looking at like 5 minutes or 5 hours?

    Could be either. Some have timers but if your bell is as old as the CS350 it could ring for the 5 hours. In saying that if battery is already dead in the bell it will shut down straight away.
