So I'm looking to send my 1st cousin in the US something nice fashion wise but with an Irish theme to it for Christmas. We are very close and every year I just send a hamper type gift and I'd like to do something a bit different and personal this year. What are ye're opinions on wool sweaters, something like the pink one here (its wool cashmere) https://www.shannonirishdesignstore.com/irish-sweaters/ or something like this? https://www.avoca.com/en/scarves-wraps

Trying to get organised a bit early this year given postage to the US etc

Go with the Avoca wrap. The jumpers are a bit too Darby O'Gill.

Definitely the Avoca wraps, much classier. I also spotted some nice scarves and throws here

Excluding Guinness and similar jumpers and some too elaborate knitwear there is absolutely nothing wrong with those jumpers. If you attached an Italian label to the pink jumper you could ask at least another 50% more for it. In fact heritage stuff is very much fashionable this year. The only problem is those jumpers can be a bit less forgiving and unless you know the size of the person well a scarf or a wrap might be a better option. Not necessarily the trendier option because among scarves silk is all the rage atm.
