Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lovely site, clearly well loved, and they have made an effort to clear the inside, compared with some others...

Would love to know the story of these old houses..

There’s something about that house that makes me very sad. I think it’s the general disrepair & obvious poverty, but more importantly it’s the single armchair in front of the fire, worn on one side where the owner got up & down. Not a crying chair, but a chair of a person who lit a fire for one. 😞

easy one. They had kids then grandkids and treasured and cherished the, Hence the swing set and hence the good state of the house. Maybe they have taken years to decide to sell, hoping one of the grands would want it.

It has been a family house since it was built I am sure. And old man liked it as it was...

Why is there another thread about funny houses/flats to rent if there is already one running, both part 2?

Is this a private thread for skooterblue2 and Graces7?

You might as well hope for 25 degrees Celcius al year round so you can spend all your time outside in the garden, which is the best thing of this place.

The architecture as such is actually quite quirky and implies a humorous streak. But the inside, OMG! There is definitely no humour, more nightmarish.
I don't even like the garden.

The part of the garden where the pool is, is ok. Didnt say it was great but it is still the best thing about that place.

I really like the house. Although I think the decor is terrible and it looks out of place in that location.

I don't mind the outside so much though it wouldn't be for me. It's the inside that was awful. Like you just enabled sims cheats and stuffed the house with the most expensive items to increase your score even when they don't go together

Different vintage I reckon. More impressive is if you use Google street view for a 360 spin and take a look at the 1970s bungalow acroos the road and the 1990s / 2000s house beside it

    Nothing like progress ... ;)

You can only wish it has a "G" rating. I'd say you could shovel coal into it for the night and it would still be freezing

No, I'd quite like to disappear to the middle of nowhere. To hell with insulation; an extra jumper would be grand. Just looking at it on Google maps, it looks quite idyllic.

Stuff like that makes me angry.
And kind of afraid for the future because i will be looking for another rental in the foreseeable future.
Might turn out that i just cant afford staying here in Ireland anymore because as a single person with a pretty decent salary it will be impossible to live on your own without commuting 3 or 4 hours a day.

But keep building 2 floor family homes only. It is going great after all.

I'm contemplating of moving back to Ireland but the prospect of living in shared accomodation in a tiny, hotel like, overpriced, non sound proof room is putting me completely off.
