If you are on JSA a week before your ETB course starts you should be ok, you will then get an f103 form from your etb which is to be filled out by your social welfare office and bank and they will then take over your payment for the duration of your training course.

And will the payment take place for the duration of the course or just until the JSA was due to run out???

Best thing to do is give the etb where the course is on a call monday, they will be used to dealing with all of this and give you a definite answer about what to do.

Do you mean jobseekers benefit Clareman? What ever payment you are on the ETB will take over the payment for the duration of the course at the rate you are on immediately prior to starting the course. If on JSB you will go back on that payment when the course ends until it then runs out, the time is suspended for the duration of the course. If you miss days at the course without a medical cert you will be docked money for any time you miss.

Jobseekers allowance, the 1 that people get when they finish up work, you get it for 9 months I think

Jobseekers benefit is your stamps that run out then you get jobseekers allowance which is the means tested payment with no set expiry date.
