There are no plans to change any EU CB arrangements.
    What made you think that?

Poland are increasing their child benefit to 500 PLN per month (abt 120 Euro ) from Octqber . The child benefit Dept have sent people notices about this with a view to cease the Irish payment and for people to claim the new Polish payment.Im not certain about the ceasement of payment as they are not replying to questions about it.

Under EU rules it always was the case that people claiming Irish CB for a child in Poland got the CB less the amount in Poland.
So if it’s increased to €120 in Poland then that person would still be entitled to €20 from here.
What exactly did these letters that you’ve seen say?

It just mentioned the new increase in Poland and that they would be reviewing the Irish payment as a result . Thanks for your replies.

That makes sense. The amount payable here in Ireland will decrease by the amount of the increase in Poland.
